Adityaa Chatterjee, professionally known as LOTU$, is an independent artist, songwriter, and producer from Kolkata, India, known for crafting immersive, emotionally driven music that blends atmospheric sound design with modern hip-hop and experimental influences. Fully self-driven, LOTU$ handles the creative direction, writing, and production of his releases, maintaining complete artistic control over his sound and vision. Alongside his work as an artist, LOTU$ has built a strong profile as a producer and a collaborator, with his production on the hit track “Kick Back” on collaboration with South African trap artist Chicage, which has surpassed a million streams and is still counting. He has also collaborated on a song with MTV Hustle winner and rising DHH rapper Lash Curry, marking a notable presence within the Indian hip-hop space. Expanding his reach internationally, LOTU$ released “Xanax Freestyle,” a track recorded over an official beat by legendary American producer Pi’erre Bourne, reflecting his global sonic influences. In August 2024, LOTU$, alongside his manager Soham Bose (ZsR), launched KNine Records, an independent record label co-owned by LOTU$, with Soham Bose as the owner, further extending his role beyond music into label-building and artist development. He made his debut with the album 0000.HOURS, a conceptual project centered around liminal time, introspection, and transformation, establishing his signature late-night aesthetic.
