Biography & Metadata

Rising Nigerian-born Osoba (@osobatheartist) follows the momentum of her breakout singles “African Queen” and “We No Worry” with “Por Riich,” a provocative new track arriving July 4, 2025. A Thought-Experiment in Rhythm “Por Riich” flips the global wealth pyramid on its head with the chorus opening line: “What would the world be, if the poor was rich and the kings had to live with the desperate. Over sparse, menacing drums and a hypnotic bass line, Osoba imagines a reality where society’s safety nets reverse: no hospitals because no one gets sick, billionaires experiencing food insecurity, and empathy replacing excess. “This record asks us to dream beyond our circumstances—then forces us to feel the discomfort of that swap,” she explains. “It’s a manifesto for equity disguised as a banger.” Building on a Breakout Year “African Queen,” released January 31, 2025, introduced Osoba’s lush Afropop-meets-hip-hop aesthetic and marked her first single under Create Source Media. music.apple.com “We No Worry,” dropped May 2, 2025, extending her message of resilience and earning playlist adds across Africa and the diaspora. qobuz.com Global Distribution & Partnership “Por Riich” will be distributed worldwide through Create Source Media’s partnership with The Orchard, a division of Sony Music Entertainment, ensuring instant availability on 100+ digital platforms. createsourcemedia.comen.wikipedia.org
