2018年末、1st EP『Ultimate Nerd Gang』のリリースからアーティストとしての頭角をあらわし、直後Tohjiと共にMall Boyzとして「Mall Tape」を発表。収録された「Higher」が2019年を代表する大ヒットとなり、その名を一躍知らしめたgummyboy。2021年には「Woo Wee」がYoutubeで50万回再生を突破するなどシングル曲がヒット、飾らないキャラクターが根強いファンを獲得している。
