With a voice like velvet, a back catalogue of instant classics and a penchant for unpredictability, Danilla is one of the most compelling Indonesian music artists in recent years.
Emerging in 2014 with the critically-acclaimed Telisik, Danilla's bossa nova-tinged melodies and introspective lyrics quickly resonated, establishing her as a captivating live performer. Songs like Ada Di Sana and Senja di Ambang Pilu, solidified her become an in-demand live act.
2017's Lintasan Waktu saw Danilla venture into darker, more personal territory, further showcasing her songwriting prowess on tracks like AAA and Kalapuna. Her candid online presence fueled her popularity, and she continued to evolve, branching into collaborations and acting, culminating in the self-produced 2019 EP, Fingers. 2022's POP SEBLAY was a triumphant return, brimming with playful experimentation and Danilla's signature wit. Tracks like MPV and KIW" solidified her status as a fearless musical innovator. Now, in 2024, Danilla revisits her roots with Telisik (lagi), a reimagined take on her debut. This sonic rebirth breathes new life into beloved classics, showcasing her artistic journey. The lead single, "Wahai Kau," featuring Rendy Pandugo, is a testament to this growth — a fresh, yet familiar anthem that bridges the past and present. Danilla continues to defy expectations, proving that her music is as timeless as it is transformative.
