With "Campfire Chronicles," ANCHORS & HEARTS present their mostpersonal and intimate album to date – a musical journey through the darkest corners of the soul that simultaneously offers hope. The artwork underscores the message: a campfire that isn't burning while the forest around it is going up in flames. "It's a metaphor for how life sometimes feels like it's on the verge of collapse. But there's this one place – your closest circle of friends or family – where you forget everything around you and feel safe. On their sixth studio album, ANCHORS & HEARTS once again showcase their explosive, catchy blend of heavy alternative rock and poppy punk rock. At the same time, it was important to the band to achieve a more organic and gripping sound. Alongside Matthias Lohmöller (Docmaklang Studio) handling mixing and mastering, producer Niclas Brinkmann in particular supported them across several sessions. "Between Nic and me, there were moments where we drifted into very personal conversations and the work became secondary. That campfire atmosphere had something pleasantly therapeutic about it," Wintjen explains, describing his relationship with the northern German band's longtime collaborator. ANCHORS & HEARTS have never written "happy songs," but that doesn't mean their music is without hope. "We choose the path of confronting our own fears and problems," Wintjen explains. "But that doesn't mean you can't find hope in our songs."
