Mack Country

🎧 Welcome! First up, to hear ALL the songs Bruce Mackay (Mack Country) has written, you need to.search for his playlist THIS IS MACK COUNTRY. The 'THIS IS MACK COUNTRY' playlist is Bruce's song writing banner with all the artists he collaborates with, which is why the songs are consolidated in one place. Bruce spent decades in advertising and, for nearly forty years, owned a small wool farm near Yass, NSW, before turning to songwriting to keep the creative spark alive. In 2026, his songwriting was recognised by the Tamworth Songwriters Association, alongside Anthony Snape, for Storytellers — reinforcing a catalogue built on narrative-driven Australian country songs. Bruce's writing is shaped by country life — dogs, mates, land, and the small Australian stories that grow bigger when set to music. He’s worked with Adrian Payne, Anthony Snape and Sandy Summers, and is always open to teaming up with artists who value honest Aussie country storytelling.
