Biography & Metadata

Sudden Lights is one of the most sought after and streamed artists in Latvia. They play a combination of pop rock with slight alternative touches. Band’s music is characterized by catchy melodies perfect for dancing with a melancholic note or two along the way, and it all permeates with youthful energy. The band was formed in 2012 and has since released three albums – “Priekšpilsētas” (2017), "Vislabāk Ir Tur, Kur Manis Nav" (2019), Miljards vasaru (2022), "īsas vasaras garas ziemas" (2025). In 2023 they won Supernova and represented Latvia in Eurovision 2023 with their release "Aijā". Since then, the band has played shows and festivals in Estonia, Lithuania, Poland, Finland, Germany and UK. Their latest single "Eastern European Dream" is being played in radios in all the Baltics. On November 15, 2025, the band sold out their first arena concert and released the album "īsas vasaras garas ziemas." After this unforgettable concert, the band announced additional concerts at the Valmiera and Liepaja Olympic Centers, which will take place in the spring of 2026.
