Biography & Metadata

Madraí are a Northern Irish indie band making guitar driven music built on big melodies, dynamic guitars and emotionally direct songwriting. Since forming, the band have built a reputation for energetic live shows across Ireland, earning radio support from BBC Introducing, RTÉ, 98FM, 8Radio, Cork’s Red FM and more, alongside over 12,000 streams from their previous EP. Their latest release, Punch Drunk, sees Madraí step decisively into a bigger, more expansive sound. Across four tracks, the EP moves through love, loss, frustration and letting go, pairing introspective songwriting with the kind of huge, melodic guitar moments that have become central to the band's identity. Recorded with Jonny Woods of Wynona Bleach, Punch Drunk represents Madraí at their most confident and ambitious to date, and has already received strong praise since its release. With a growing live presence and a rapidly expanding audience, Madraí are building towards a future of bigger stages, festival appearances and touring across Ireland and the UK. For fans of: Kings of Leon, The Police & John Mayer.
