Drum'n'bass experimentalist UFO! pushes the limits of the genre with its self-described "Blade Runner funk," an intense blend of pounding assaults and sci-fi atmospherics. Born Ed Garro, UFO! has released numerous singles on labels in both the United States and abroad, but first came to wide attention with the Enemy Infiltration single, released on Thermal Recordings in 1999. The string arrangement was so memorable that it was even sampled by the respected U.K. label Trouble on Vinyl for a release called Mission Control. The Future Is Listening, UFO!'s full-length debut, was released on Thermal in 2002.
