Bette Smith

A critically acclaimed soul artist whose music sits where funk & rock and unapologetic storytelling collide, channeling retro soul and R&B flair through a modern lens on stages and records alike. Rooted in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn and shaped by gospel, block-party soul, and Southern grit, she fuses raunchy, raspy, and sweet ’n soulful vocals into cathartic songs that mine personal trauma, resilience, and hard-won joy. Celebrated by outlets like Rolling Stone as a major new voice in soul, her electrifying performances and deeply human songwriting offer hope, strength, and liberation while keeping her brand of soul and funk fiercely alive. Bette’s 2026 touring includes performances in the US, France, Germany, Belgium, Italy, Switzerland and Romania.
