The Young Punx

The Young Punx is the genre-smashing, pop-culture-driven electronic project from Grammy-nominated, multi-platinum producer Hal Ritson — whose credits include over 35 billion streams working with artists like Kanye West, The Chemical Brothers, Nas, Charli XCX, Duke Dumont, Avicii, and Clipse. Where his mainstream credits shape global hits, The Young Punx is Ritson’s chaotic creative playground — blending house, DnB, breaks, disco, funk, punk, 80s pop, jazz, and whatever else shouldn’t work but does. Think mashed-up club music with a philosophical wink and zero genre loyalty. Launched in the early 2000s through viral bootleg remixes, the project has since evolved into a shape-shifting audio-visual act with releases on Ultra, Avex, Toolroom, Kitsuné and collaborations with Peaches, Amanda Palmer, Snoop Dogg, Guthrie Govan, Dizzee Rascal, and more. Working alongside DJ partner Nathan Taylor, hype man / percussionist Betto, and a variety of guest performers, The Young Punx have DJed and performed live at many of the world's leading venues and festivals, most recently performing to 20,000 at K Arena Yokohama supporting Beck.
