Nakiso is a visionary music producer and artist from eSwatini whose passion for minimal art and minimalism echoes through every facet of his work. Deeply inspired by cinematic scoring and ambient music, his productions blend soulful textures, atmospheric nuances, and intricate sound designs. This reflects his admiration for innovators like Ben Frost, Stimming, Purl, and Alex Albrecht A recent career highlight was his electrifying performance at the Standard Bank Luju Food and Lifestyle Festival. On August 3, 2024, Nakiso captivated festivalgoers with a dynamic set that fused expansive ambient soundscapes with pulsating house and dance beats. This performance marked a pivotal point in his artistic journey and helped cement his place as a trailblazer in Eswatini’s growing music scene. Nakiso has released EPs on respected labels such as Only Make Waves, Moodfamily Deepstitched Records, Mouth and Orange, and Deep House Cats. He has remixed for long-time inspiration Secret Souls and collaborated with international talent like Sebee. He is also one half of The Mendists, a duo formed with Nocktik in 2022, where the two transform past challenges into innovative, minimalistic art.
