Chris Wicked

Chris Wicked launched his solo career in 2021 with his critically acclaimed debut album, released through Apollon Records. The album received national radio airplay and introduced his signature blend of dark, atmospheric rock and melancholic songwriting. Drawing inspiration from gothic rock, darkwave, synth-pop, doom metal, and Nordic folk, Chris has developed a distinctive sound that balances cinematic atmospheres with memorable melodies. Throughout his solo career, he has collaborated with renowned musicians from the Scandinavian metal scene, including Gaahl, Hoest, Niklas Kvarforth, and V'gandr. In 2024, he explored a darker Nordic folk direction with the acclaimed single Northern Heart. Since then, he has released four singles from his forthcoming EP Black Horns & Black Hooves, scheduled for release in late 2026 through Raven Black Recordings. Working closely with Eskil Sæter and Marius Mathisen, Chris continues to evolve his sound, blending gothic rock, dark folk, darkwave, and atmospheric soundscapes into a style that is both timeless and contemporary. Alongside his solo career, Chris Wicked remains widely recognized as the frontman and songwriter of Malice In Wonderland, with whom he released several albums, toured internationally, and built a dedicated following within the international rock scene.
