Borrowed Sparks

“A catalog of catchy, yet profound anthems that are sure to give the heart strings a nice tug.” -Dying Scene
“A prime cut of American rock and roll, in our estimation — calling to mind the maverick spirit of the legendary Tom Petty, layered with a simmering angst sure to appeal to fans of artists ranging from Social Distortion to The Gaslight Anthem.” -Underground Music Collective
“There’s a raw rock energy here that feels familiar and brand new all at once." -Ear to the Ground
“The nostalgic sound of Mike Bay aka Borrowed Sparks, is incredibly Springsteen-esque. His story is similar as well – being gifted an electric guitar as a teen. This led him to listen to classics like Petty and Steely Dan. If you like the working-class rock stylings of Brian Fallon, then you will definitely love and appreciate this rising songwriter who grabs ears and hearts with his gritty and vulnerable sound.” -Ear to the Ground
