Biography & Metadata

Peter Jöback has collaborated with icons like Sia, Kate Pierson (B 52’s), Gale Ann Dorsey and ABBA’s Björn & Benny. A Scandinavian superstar crossing musical borders during a highly successful career. “Storytelling and collaborations are key for me. Music was my first language and my goal is to explore genres making every song my own, whether I've written it or not." Peter is a multiplatinum recording artist who holds several Swedish Grammy nominations and radio awards. Peter’s recent ticket sales in Scandinavia exceeds the million mark. After successful runs in London’s West End and on Broadway, Peter was chosen by Cameron Mackintosh, Andrew Lloyd Webber, and Hal Prince to portray the Phantom of the Opera for its 30th-anniversary on Broadway. The new album “Atlas” introduces 10 future classics performed by Peter Jöback, produced by Ed Harcourt and written by Jöback, Harcourt and Kathryn Williams. It includes features by Sophie Ellis-Bextor and Ed Harcourt. Recorded at Harcourt’s studio and RAK Studios in London, mixed by Dom Morley (Adele, Amy Winehouse, Sting) and Cenzo Townsend (U2, Florence & The Machine, Snow Patrol) “Atlas” describes my life at this point, being firmly rooted in the present after years of exploring different artistic landscapes. I’ve revisited some of my heroes like David Bowie and Elton John, and brought them to meet today’s icons like Lana del Rey and Rufus Wainwright"
