Jon Winterstein

Jon Winterstein is a German multi-instrumentalist, composer and music producer. Characterized by intimate arrangements and expressive melodies, his emotive compositions can be minimalistic as well as lush, demonstrating the raw and unmasked beauty of instrumental music. In summer 2019, he started working together with New-York-based boutique recording studio and label Sonder House, through which he released his debut EP Reminiscence. Since then, Jon has released a number of singles, following his interest in adding novel instrumental facets to his repertoire. He was featured on the much-praised Sonder House acoustic guitar compilation Woodworks Vol. 1 with the track Solace. Mosaic, an EP with a handful of delicate piano pieces, was released in June 2020 through acclaimed UK-based label Double J Music. The first single, Illuminate, was featured on several Spotify editorial playlists. The track From the Cold is featured on the second season of the award-winning Apple TV+ hit show "Severance" (episode 7). He just released his first full-length album In a Land of Sunless Skies through Pianoramix. Under the moniker First Light Circus he is exploring a more ambient, synth-driven and atmospheric sound.
