Artist Bio Born out of curiosity and shaped by the streets, James Molomo is a South African producer whose sound is rooted in rhythm, culture and evolution. His musical journey began early, around 2015, when he played in a brass band, learning discipline, timing and the power of live instrumentation. That foundation would later become the backbone of his production style. He began producing his own tracks, initially gravitating toward hip-hop, a genre that helped him understand structure, drums, and sampling while sharpening his technical skills. Over time, his sound naturally evolved. Drawn to deeper rhythms and African groove, he found his true home in amapiano—a genre that allowed him to blend emotion, bounce and atmosphere. Since then, amapiano has become his core sound, defined by tense yet groovy textures, street influence and a strong sense of movement. As a producer, Jam Rock values authenticity and growth. His work reflects both his journey and his environment—constantly evolving while staying rooted in where he comes from. He has collaborated with likes of Bandros, Zimvo, Yanga Grenade and some artists he already worked with and planning on dropping music with in the near future with likes of Lokzin Keys, N T S A K O XVI, ShakaMan YKTV and more Not to forget that he is a Platinum Selling Producer with the hit song Ngelinye iLanga.
