Arctic Lights

Arctic Lights are an alternative rock duo from Cork, Ireland, comprising Liam O’Callaghan and Edward Butt. Since releasing their debut single ‘King of America’ in 2021, they have built a growing international following with a constantly evolving blend of alternative rock, indie, electronic, shoegaze and experimental influences. Their music has received radio play across Europe, America, Asia, Africa and Australia, while their releases have attracted listeners on Spotify, Bandcamp and other streaming platforms. Arctic Lights bring considerable musical experience to the project, with Liam previously fronting Cork band Bulkhead and Edward a member of Cork's Emperor of Ice Cream, who were signed to Sony Records in the 1990s. The duo take a completely independent DIY approach, creating their music, production, mastering, artwork and videos in-house, giving them total creative control over every aspect of the project. With a growing catalogue and an unwillingness to stay within one genre, Arctic Lights continue to explore new sounds while carving out their own distinctive space in alternative music.
