Desert Ecko

Desert Ecko is a Burbank-based duo formed by Andrew Fosheim from Costa Mesa, CA, and John Broadhead (stilljohn) from Telluride, CO. The two met at Icon Collective music production school in 2024, bonding over a shared desire to fuse organic instrumentation with modern electronic production. What started as creative experimentation in Icon’s studios evolved into a self-titled EP that blends blues, country, and bass music into something entirely new. Their music is equal parts rowdy and soulful - gritty guitars, heartfelt lyrics, and heavy-hitting drops designed to make audiences line dance one moment and head-bang the next. Drawing inspiration from artists like Dirtwire & Moontricks, Desert Ecko channels the raw emotion of traditional Americana through the energy and sound design of EDM. It’s a balance of chaos and control, polished production and human imperfection, born from countless late nights spent laughing, experimenting, and pushing boundaries together.
