Biography & Metadata

The Vintage Explosion burst onto the global stage in 2022 when their soul-drenched cover of A Change Is Gonna Come went viral, earning over 1 billion views across social media. Since then, the Scottish powerhouse has been unstoppable. They’ve scored four No.1 albums on the Worldwide Apple Blues Chart, reached No.3 on the overall Worldwide Apple Album Chart, hit the US Billboard Blues Top 10, and entered the Official UK Top 40. Their high-voltage live shows have sold out a 14-date UK & Ireland tour, earned them a debut on ITV’s This Morning, and secured their role as house band for the BBC’s Big Birthday Bash. Their debut album Havin’ Such a Good Time (2023) shot to No.1 and won praise from Vintage Rock Magazine as “a stunning debut.” Their follow-up, Saturday Night (2024), topped AppleBlues Charts worldwide. 2025 has taken them even higher: their single ‘I Can’t Get Enough of Lovin’ You’ hit No.1 on the Apple Blues & Soul Chart, and frontman Will Hitchell won the International Songwriting Competition with his track Sweet Love. Capping their rise, The Vintage Explosion were named Band of the Year 2025 at the Boisdale Xerjoff Music Awards in London, presented by Jools Holland. They’re not just reviving the golden age of music, they’re redefining it for a new era. “This guy… The Vintage Explosion—is the best white soul singer I’ve ever heard.” - Sir Rod Stewart “WOW!! Absolutely blown away… The singer comes off as good as any of the greats!” - Paul Stanley, KISS
