Biography & Metadata
Canadian songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist David James Allen’s latest single By Your Side is a quiet country-folk song about holding steady in love during uncertain times. Featuring pedal steel by Andrew Ivens, the song is the second release from his forthcoming album Jubilation Potpourri (2026), following Platform No. 12 (Old Friends), which received rotation on SiriusXM’s North Americana. By Your Side follows Allen’s 2023 album By The Summertime, praised for its warm, lived-in songwriting and timeless feel. Based in Prince Edward County, Ontario, Allen has been releasing music for more than a decade.
