Felipe Jara

Hi! I'm Felipe, a musician and producer from Chile. In 2018, I decided to start my own project. Simply because I felt the need to make music, I began recording covers of my favorite video game soundtracks as a hobby, especially the music from Donkey Kong Country, which I listened to all the time. I wanted people to see the actual work behind each track, so I started documenting the whole process on YouTube (@jaraflp), recording myself playing every instrument. Over time, more people started finding those videos, and what began as a hobby slowly turned into a community of listeners from all over the world. I was also lucky enough to be interviewed by La Tercera, one of Chile's biggest newspapers, where I talked about the musical arrangements behind classics like Stickerbush Symphony (From "Donkey Kong Country 2") These days my music sits somewhere between lofi, chillhop, jazz and ambient.
