Leif Shires

Leif Shires, raised in California’s San Joaquin Valley, is now based in Nashville, Tennessee, where he continues to refine his craft and expand a thriving career. A versatile trumpeter, Shires has worked across a wide range of genres with artists including Lainey Wilson, Zach Williams, Matthew West, Kelly Clarkson, Jack White, Brett Eldredge, Shania Twain, Barry Gibb, Eliza & The Bear, Jaimee Paul, Jaci Velasquez, Wanda Jackson, TobyMac, TG Sheppard, Kelly Lang, and ensembles such as The Memphis Horns, My Morning Jacket, and Latin jam band Salvador. In 2008, Shires signed with Green Hill Records, releasing multiple albums under the label. He has since continued collaborating with many of these artists while recording and touring around the world. Shires is married to vocalist Jaimee Paul, with whom he frequently collaborates, performing and recording together on a wide range of projects. He has performed for audiences throughout the United States, North and Central America, Europe, and Japan, including appearances before a sitting U.S. President, Prime Ministers, members of Congress, military leaders, and international ambassadors.
