Johny Holiday

Johny Holiday is a Swiss DJ and beat producer from Basel. He is a member of the Swiss Hip Hop crew «Brandhärd» which he founded with his two friends MC Fetch and Fierce in 1997. In 2003 Brandhärd managed to breakthrough with the song «Noochbrand». The same-named EP sold over 16’000 copies (gold status in Switzerland) and for months was the most played Swiss music videos on television. Brandhärd played and plays shows throughout Switzerland is one of the longest active Hip Hop bands in Switzerland. Johny Holiday started Djing with 17 and focused his energy to become a turntableist. Alongside he learned producing through Mr. Fierce the producer of Brandhärd. After countless hours of perfecting his skills, the first big step as a solo producer was in 2007 where Johny Holiday produced the debut album «Wäggselspil» for Abart. Since then Johny Holiday has produced and remixed for various Swiss artists like Ursina, Greis, Chlyklass, Brandhärd, Semantik, TripleNine, Abart, Zitral, Levo and many more. A next big step for Johny Holiday was in January 2016 when he released the LP «Elf» with the rap crew Rapreflex. The second album he produced entirely by himself. In October 2017 he finally released his first solo album «Coconut Dandy». Coconut Dandy is an instrumental journey between classic Hip Hop and wavy downtempo beats. 13 short beats showing the variety of Johnys musical spectrum. And one thing we can be sure about, is that this was just the beginning…<br>
