Larsen Genovese

I'm an Italian violinist based in Bern, Switzerland. My musical background is a tapestry woven from various folk styles, including Romanian Lautareasca, Klezmer, Pizzica, Irish folk, Swedish fiddle, Balkan, Turkish influences, and elements of jazz. Within this diverse landscape, I find beauty in the raw, ever-evolving nature of live folk music. Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of playing with various bands across these folk genres, among others the Celtic folk band An Lar and the Irish/scottish folk band "Táin". Collaborating with musicians from different cultural backgrounds has been a significant part of my musical journey. Looking ahead, I'm excited to embark on a project with guitarist Juan Martínez Pérez, focusing on creating neoclassical pieces. Additionally, I'm eager to release more original compositions inspired by folk traditions.
