Bobbyy is an LA-based drummer/producer with a hard-hitting yet emotional musical footprint. Beginning in Seattle’s DIY scene before expanding his influences within LA's robust musical community. On his debut solo album, BUCKETS, Bobbyy manifests a sensual, heavy-lidded vibe while creating genre-fluid tracks that linger long after they end. The single "Thence I Arrived on a Foreign Shore" features Pink Siifu and Stas THEE Boss, alongside a remix by Galcher Lustwerk. Bobbyy's follow-up to BUCKETS is his upcoming 20-track double LP, TACKYY. Featuring appearances from Salami Rose Joe Louis, Sam Gendel, Pink Siifu, Demae, Telemakus, AKAI SOLO, and more, TACKYY weaves together jazz and underground club music through the lens of a sampler. Each track began on an Elektron Digitakt before expanding through overdubs and collaborations. More than a nod to the machine it was made on, TACKYY is an act of embrace: embracing the positive, self-love, and self-belief. An album of gentle reminders - “You’ve got the magic in you,” “Your soul is smart,” “Life is like a treasure hunt” - it was created through human talent, emotion, and connection. Set for release October 16 via Pink Siifu’s new Dynamite Hill label. Bobbyy's live performances feel less like a producer showcase and more like club-hopping between smoky jazz venues and after-hours dance floors, equipped with a sampler-fitted drum kit and a rotating ensemble of instrumentalists.
