Marcus James

Marcus James is an electronic artist from Vancouver. His bridging of pop-punk and dance music with his own signature is unparalleled. His style, properly dubbed “emo house,” is an eclectic fusion that blends radio-friendly sensibilities with powerful production. Since 2018, he has accumulated millions of streams and built a strong grassroots fanbase that reveres his unique hybrid style. Upon signing with Physical Presents, James joined the likes of Felix Cartal, Shaun Frank and more. Since taking that giant career step, Marcus has released highly successful singles including his hit “Ghosts” and several follow up records including official remixes for esteemed vocalist Dylan Matthew and Anarbor. His impressive catalog has seen extensive support from editorial playlists on both Spotify and Apple Music. Marcus often tackles stigmatized subject matter, bringing to light the depths of loneliness, anxiety and depression and how we try to cope with such heavy matters. His artistic dialogue with mental health encourages listeners to be vulnerable and open to discourse about these sensitive themes.
