Yugendran Vasudevan

Yugendran (born Yugendran Vasudevan on 20 December 1976) is an Indian film actor and singer known for his work across Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam cinema. Highlights * Recently sang the song Rai Rai Raa Raa alongside Oscar Award–winning composer A. R. Rahman for the Tamil film Peddi. * Upcoming film releases as an actor in July 2026 include Lenin Pandyan and Podhigaiyum Payoliyum. Yugendran has sung hundreds of songs in Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam. He is also an occasional music director and host. He is the son of renowned Malaysian Tamil playback singer and actor Malaysia Vasudevan. He has two sisters, Pavithra and Prashanthini. His sister Prashanthini is also a Tamil playback singer, known for songs in films such as 12B, Veyil, and Vaaranam Aayiram. In 1999, Yugendran performed at the launch of the Tamil radio station Swarna Oli in Sri Lanka, where he met his wife, Hayma Malini, a popular RJ. Hayma Malini, who was born and raised in Singapore, holds Singapore citizenship. The couple has three children: Visashan Naarayan, Kishan Kutty Naarayan, and Darshan Naarayan Nair. The family has previously lived in India, Malaysia, and Singapore, and currently resides in Auckland, New Zealand.
