Biography & Metadata

Born in Lima, Peru, Gerardo Millán began producing music at 16 years old using FL Studio, driven by a simple but unwavering dream: to live from his art. In 2020, just after graduating high school during the COVID pandemic, he dedicated himself fully to music production and began independently releasing his first tracks on SoundCloud. Creating mostly at night, his music slowly found listeners looking for comfort, calm, and rest. A major turning point came after collaborating with Purrple Cat, which helped shape both his sound and artistic identity. Soon after, Gerardo was contacted by Daniel Sanders to release a project with Sleep Tales (formerly Colours Music), a release that would later surpass 18 million Spotify streams. Over time, Gerardo became a reference within the sleepy and ambient lo-fi scene, inspiring a new generation of artists through his emotional production style and deeply atmospheric sound. His later releases with Lofi Girl marked the moment he fully embraced the sound that defines him today: sleepy, ambient, and experimental lo-fi for quiet nights and overstimulated minds. His music has helped listeners dealing with insomnia, anxiety, and loneliness around the world. Above all, Gerardo credits God as the source of the inspiration behind every song he creates.
