Filipina Alt-R&B & Pop-R&B artist and "Bay Area Sweetheart," Mami Mia, is described as a "breath of fresh air" for the warmth & sweetness present in her music & persona.
Her personal mission is to make the world a brighter & more beautiful place, using music as her primary tool. Passionate & warm-hearted, she hopes that by sharing her sounds, listeners can see the world through her rose-gold colored lenses. Mami Mia's musical journey began after her diagnosis with SLE Lupus, after which she swore she’d live her most fulfilled life. Since then, she attended NYU’s ’18 Summer Songwriting program, was named "Most Likely to Write a Hit Song," by Beatstars (2021). In 2023, she received JHNY WZDM’s “222 Award,” as well as HRDRV’s “People’s Choice” Award '24. Celebrated for her "effortless" stage presence, she's performed around the US, most notably as an official South by Southwest (SxSW) Artist in 2024 and has opened for acts such as Jennaske and HBK's Dave Steezy. Raised with the infectious melodic sounds, of the late 90s/early 2000s, Mami is often compared to sweet, but swaggalicious female fatales, Gwen Stefani, Jhene Aiko, & Aaliyah.
