French ambient composer Philippe Deschamps crafts dreamlike atmospheres and neoclassical harmonies, blending evolving textures with moments of deep listening. His new EP Wind Paths (September 2026, Silent Sonic Records) turns the wind into a connecting force: voice, guitar, synthesizers and field recordings of wind, waves and rain trace the invisible paths the air draws across the landscape. As a film composer, he recently scored Les juifs riches (Bande originale du film) directed by Yolande Zauberman (Berlinale 2026). Trained in piano and art school, Philippe studied sound at La Fémis. His dual expertise as sound editor and composer creates unreal spaces and temporalities. Inspired by Brian Eno and Chihei Hatakeyama, he debuted with Blue Baths (2023) then signed with labels like Mare Nostrum and Ambient Soundscapes. In 2025, he released Remember the Clouds, bringing a post-rock electric guitar haze to his universe, followed by the neoclassical melodies of Endless Vanishing Lines. For Philippe, ambient music is a genre that questions the listener, inventing new sounds and temporalities. He collaborated with Relief, Center of Attention, rhubiqs, Le Code, A.e.r.o., Silvia Blaser, Norvik and Davis Branch . https://philippedeschamps.eu/
