KAMAE

After amassing over 300 million streams on streaming platforms with his productions for other artists & instrumental catalog, it was time for a new chapter. With this project, KAMAE shifts his focus from producer (Sebastian Kamae) to artist, stepping out of the background. Rooted in Soul, R&B & Jazz, KAMAE weaves in the energy of House and Electronic music evolving beyond his Hip-hop production roots into a more mature and experimental sound. Avid listeners will still recognize his signature keys, high-end production, and overall ‘sample-like’ style, but clearly hear the evolution, inspired by artists like Daft Punk , Moodymann , Ross from Friends , KAYTRANADA & Robert Glasper. Starting with music at the age of 5, and leaving his hometown at 17, to pursue his dreams and study music, KAMAE has moved around a lot and spent lots of time traveling around the globe, building connections and experiences that have shaped his artistic journey. After multiple projects and countless features as Sebastian Kamae, this name marks a new direction aiming to move listeners, both literally and figuratively. In 2022, introduced by Abel Balder, he contributed keys to 4 tracks on ANOTR's debut album, ‘The Reset’, which established the first bridge towards electronic music. Around that time he also co-founded his record label Exp., together with Bertholet. While exploring, experimenting and searching, he crafted the heart and soul of his debut KAMAE project ‘THE ART OF GETTING LOST’.
