Yung Hood

Yung Hood’s journey is far from a typical rags-to-riches tale. Born in Corsicana, East Texas, he was imbued with a hardworking, blue-collar ethos that continues to shape his career. Hood split his youth between Corsicana and Nawf Dallas, blending the experiences from both worlds into his music. In 2015, he began focusing seriously on his rap career, releasing projects and building his brand. By 2024, Yung Hood’s career has skyrocketed. He signed with Texas superstar BigXthaPlug’s new label, 600 Entertainment. Hood, BigXthaPlug, and emerging artist Ro$ama collaborated on the mixtape MEET THE 6IXERS, featuring tracks like the title song and Hood’s solo hit “Dirty Dawg.” Since then, Hood has graced stages with BigX and 600 Ent. including Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, Rolling Loud, and most recently Coachella, and attracted viral attention through his uncanny freestyle ability and consistent output of southern trap singles. Now a prominent street rapper in Dallas, Yung Hood is positioned to become next big star to represent the real streets of Texas and beyond with the release of his new mixtape, Croptober 3.
