Pop-oriented contemporary R&B vocalist, dancer, actor, and model Serayah McNeill is known for role as Tiana on the television series Empire. Prior to landing her breakthrough gig, the Encinitas, California native was active in her church choir, performed in theater productions, and was in print and television advertisements. Her career received a major boost when she appeared on Empire in the role of fledgling recording artist Tiana Brown. The music from the series' first season featured a lead vocal from McNeill on "Keep It Movin'," and additionally she was heard on "Drip Drop," fronted by Bryshere Gray (Hakeem Lyon), and the cast version of "You're So Beautiful." That year she was also seen in Taylor Swift's video for "Bad Blood." McNeill remained a main cast member for the second season of Empire and was granted the spotlight for "Me" and "Starlight." Outside Empire during 2016, McNeill was among the vocalists on the RedOne single "Don't You Need Somebody," and she was part of the ensemble cast of the film Lucky Girl. ~ Andy Kellman, Rovi
