Sam Rapley

Sam Rapley is a highly experienced composer, orchestrator & music editor working across Film, TV & Games in the UK. He trained at the National Film & Television School and Royal Academy of Music and has worked across a broad range of prolific studio series and films. He also performs and records internationally as a saxophonist & clarinetist. Sam’s recent credits include composing additional music for Sony Pictures feature film Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire alongside Academy Award winner Dario Marianelli, BBC’s hit nature series Kingdom, narrated by Sir David Attenborough and Sky Nature series Airborne, narrated by Keeley Hawes. He has scored several award-winning short films, most notably Spring Roll Dream which premiered at Cannes Film Festival and was awarded the prestigious Lights on Women Award by Kate Winslet, and 3 Promises which premiered at Doc NYC and was a semi-finalist for a student Academy Award. Other credits include music programming on Warner Bros. Wonka and music editing on several series including Sky TV’s Atomic, hit Netflix series Bodies and BBC’s Ludwig. As well as composing for Film, TV & Games, Sam writes music for his own band, Fabled and regularly performs as a saxophonist & clarinetist with the likes of Alfa Mist, Waaju, Misha Mullov-Abbado & Jordan Rakei.
