Aba Ariginal

ABA ARIGINAL is the creation of trumpeter, producer, and studio engineer Patrixx Tenyue, whose career spans legendary bands including Matumbi, Matic 16, Ruff Cutt, Aswad, Out of Darkness, and the UB40 horn section. As co‑founder of Matic Horns, he helped shape the group’s signature sound and contributed to recordings for foundation reggae artists across the UK, Jamaica, Africa, and Hawaii. For the past five years, ABA ARIGINAL has built a commanding presence in the sound system arena, performing original productions with major systems such as Channel One, Aba Shanti, Iration, Stepper Solomon, Heritage, Jah Yout, and Jah Shaka. He also records exclusive titles for international sound system producers in the USA, Mexico, and Europe. ABA ARIGINAL now steps onto the stage as a full Roots Reggae band, performing his own catalogue alongside vocal hits from the band members. The live show moves through Ska, Rocksteady, Reggae, Roots, and Dubwise, enriched by the Jazz and Blues influences that shaped reggae’s evolution. With a six‑part horn section and a four‑part riddim section of top‑tier musicians, the ARIGINAL SHOWCASE delivers a dynamic, authentic reggae experience. Special guests join the performance, while the Dub Master on the mixing desk brings a modern, in‑demand element to the live sound. This is the new chapter filling the space left by the greats — ABA ARIGINAL: The Ariginal Showcase.
