Kalheb Boumarat

Kalheb Boumarat is a Congolese rapper, singer, and songwriter from Brazzaville, Republic of the Congo. Known for his contribution to the promotion of Afro-losseba, he blends rap, melodic vocals, technical rhymes, punchlines, and afro-urban sounds, deeply inspired by Congolese and African culture. Although not the inventor of Afro-losseba, Kalheb Boumarat is recognized as one of the artists who helped elevate the style by bringing his own signature: strong rap lyrics, sharp punchlines, melodic flows, and afro-urban rhythms, creating a unique sound rooted in tradition and modern urban music. In 2021, he released his debut album “Maître marabout”, followed by the EP “Météorite” the same year. His most notable tracks include “Ba Luka,” “Tiguidi ,” “Tout vas bien,” “Bina” “Ko banga te,” and “Ebeba .” He has collaborated with several Congolese and African artists such as Tidiane Mario, Relfe Kazama , Maska Keke Bil, and Vinny Baltazard . Kalheb Boumarat gained international exposure after being featured on “Couleurs Tropicales”, the renowned radio show hosted by Claudy Siar on RFI, highlighting him as one of the promising young African artists shaping the future of African hip-hop and afro-urban music.
