JOIA

here for the fat basslines and friendship ----- JOIA, the new project of Max Huseby, is the artist’s next evolution in melodic, euphoric soundscapes—a journey through hypnotic bass-heavy beats, intricate drum rhythms, and occasionally melancholic yet uplifting breakdowns and melodies. Drawing influence from genres like breakbeat, two-step, garage, techno, trance, and dubstep, JOIA blends vibrant vocal chops with dynamic rhythms to create a unique musical experience that’s as at home in the club as it is in your headphones. Formerly known for pushing boundaries in other genres in the electronic music scene, JOIA brings a fresh perspective to the underground music dancefloor, with a sound that’s both nostalgic and forward-thinking.
