BLASTPHEMIAN

BLASTPHEMIAN is a post-black metal act from Northern Italy, primarily revolving around singer, songwriter, and composer Antonio Allegra. Originally started as an experimental solo project in 2019, the project embraced its definitive form in 2025, blending modern post-black metal with death metal elements and ethereal ambient atmospheres. His first album "Then Came Midwinter" is a concept album that explores the concept of the inevitable passage of time, accepting it, and moving forward. It sees the protagonist unleashing 'Midwinter' upon the world—an eternal winter, where the flow of time, life and death, and the unfolding of events come to a halt, convinced that this is the way to overcome death and pain. Walking through this frozen world, he will explore human nature, the concept of loss, and come to realize that nothing that is lost can be found in the absence of life. "Then Came Midwinter" is therefore a bittersweet journey, a story that does not end with a happy ending, but with a just, more real, more human conclusion.
