Biography & Metadata
Emerging from Malmö, Sweden, ABU NEIN has become one of the most distinctive names in contemporary darkwave. At the center of it all is the distinctive voice of Erica Li Lundqvist. Repeatedly highlighted by critics as the band's defining hallmark, her vocal presence moves effortlessly between fragility and strength, intimacy and confrontation. Reviewers have drawn comparisons ranging from Siouxsie and the Banshees, Joy Division, and The Cure to early Depeche Mode, while consistently emphasizing ABU NEIN's ability to craft a sound that is uniquely their own and instantly recognizable.
