From Tyranny

From Tyranny are a five-piece modern metalcore band from Glasgow, Scotland. Formed in 2017, the band combine crushing low-tuned riffs, technical guitar work, huge melodic hooks and cinematic orchestral/electronic textures to create a dark, atmospheric take on modern metalcore. Following a period of reinvention, From Tyranny returned in 2023 with ‘Reprise’, a five-track EP recorded with Steven Jones (Bleed From Within /From Sorrow To Serenity). Led by ‘Haunt You’, the release established the heavier, more focused identity that would shape the band going forward. Their current era pushes that sound further, with recent material including ‘Imposter’ and ‘Living Void’ mixed and mastered by Lance Prenc (Alpha Wolf /Polaris/Thornhill). From Tyranny continue to combine modern metalcore aggression with cinematic production, unsettling atmosphere and increasingly unpredictable songwriting.
