Biography & Metadata

Hello! I am from Miami, Fl and I began playing music at the age of 9, first piano then saxophone and followed by the trumpet. My father played the saxophone and had music from the Bee Gees to David Sanborn (to name a few) constantly playing in the house. Through him and his love for music I developed mine. As I got older I discovered Charlie Parker and Lee Morgan and by the age of 13 I was deep in Jazz. I loved it! I couldn't get enough of the sound and what they were doing. I wanted to do it too, so I practiced and practiced. All this practice took me too some really cool places at a young age. I got to travel to LA and see the Grammy's as-well as to Canada. When college came around I attended Berklee College of Music on a full scholarship. Although I did not finish I ended up going to New York where I spent the next five and a half years playing and learning from some of the best musicians on the planet. Recording and playing on a range of styles from bands like Rebolu, Kidbrass, and Cab Ellis (to name a few) to jamming with the late Roy Hargrove. So much music was absorbed during the time period. This leads me to now my addiction for music and jazz continues and I am grateful to have the ability to continue to write and play music that means so much to me. I hope it heals and inspires all those who listen. Glory to God. Thanks for listening!
