Lucy Beveridge

A warm and inviting nature permeates Lucy Beveridge’s creative output. Emerging as one of Australia’s most captivating young voices, Lucy has wasted no time exploring a diverse range of songwriting influences and, musically, is flourishing with soulful artistry at her fingertips. Lucy’s love affair with music began at a young age, growing up surrounded by nature and a supportive family who encouraged her natural interest in storytelling through song. The heartfelt honesty at the core of folk, country and acoustic music was something Lucy became enamoured with as a young person. Artists such as Joni Mitchell, Emmylou Harris and Sierra Ferrell emerged as strong early influences on her sound and writing style. Cutting her teeth as a performer across the NSW Hunter and Central Coast regions, Lucy has quickly become not only a popular fixture on the local circuit, but has also gained recognition from the broader music industry. Her songwriting has attracted the attention of some of Australia’s most respected music organisations, with Lucy being named the winner of the ACMF APRA AMCOS Young Songwriter of the Year Award. Additionally, Lucy has been awarded the Folk Federation of NSW Young Folk Artist of the Year, the Mothertone Gympie Music Muster Junior Talent Search, and the TSA Salute Youth Songwriter Award.
