Fernandoz

Fernandoz is a Swedish band that was formed in 1986 in Vitsand, near Torsby. The band's first major success was in 1991 when they topped the Värmlandstoppen chart with the song "Jag vet att jag vill ha dig" (I Know I Want You). They became Swedish danceband champions in 1993 and appeared on the popular TV show "Bingolotto" on September 25 of the same year. They have since appeared on the show seven more times. Fernandoz has had several hit songs on Svensktoppen, including well-known ones like "Guld och gröna skogar" (Gold and Green Forests), "En dag den sommaren" (One Day That Summer), "När ett hjärta har älskat" (When a Heart Has Loved), and more. Fernandoz has also participated in the TV4 music competition for dansband called "Dansbandslåten," achieving a 2nd place as their best result. In 2008, the band's former guitarist Conny Ohlson won a Guldklaven (Golden Key) at the dansband industry's own awards gala "Guldklavengalan" for his contributions and success in the industry. The band's style and sound are strongly influenced by country music, but they also draw from the 1970s, which was a highly influential period for dansbands music. Their mature style with "speed, excitement, and swing," a touch of humor, and preferably a song with a strong connection to their beloved part of Sweden - Värmland on each album also characterize this dansband.
