Pianist, composer and bandleader based in London, UK. Simpson's latest record ‘Twice Shaded’ is an album of electronic improvisations, lovingly stitched together to form a whole. Previous to that, 2020’s 'Everything All of the Time: Kid A Revisited' is a celebration of 20 years since Radiohead's 'Kid A'. Featuring an amazing line up of UK musicians - James Allsopp, Tori Freestone, Dave Whitford and Will Glaser, this record will delight anyone into forward looking music. With its immediate, energetic and playful takes on 'Kid A' this is a must have record for fans of Jazz and Radiohead. 2016's 'Klammer' was a perfect showcase for Simpson's compositional vision. Featuring George Crowley, Michael Chillingworth, Ralph Wyld, Tom Farmer and Dave Hamblett this record zips through a wide range of textures, energies and moods.
