Biography & Metadata
Gordy Haab is a Grammy Award-winning composer renowned for his cinematic scores for the Star Wars video game franchise, Halo Wars 2, and numerous film and television productions, including the Chinese blockbuster Fengshen: Creation of the Gods trilogy. Born in 1976 in Richmond, Virginia, Gordy Haab spent his formative years immersed in the sonic worldbuilding of John Williams, whose iconic themes and richly detailed orchestral style would drive the budding musician to study jazz composition at Virginia Commonwealth University and later, film scoring at the University of Southern California. Haab quickly established himself in interactive media with scores for Kinect: Star Wars (2012), The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct (2013), and Halo Wars 2 (2017), and elicited international acclaim for his work on Star Wars: Battlefront (2015) and Star Wars Battlefront II (2017). He expanded his association with the franchise through Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order (2019), Star Wars: Squadrons (2020), Star Wars Jedi: Survivor (2023), and Star Wars Zero Company (2026). In 2024, he expanded his connection to the musical legacy of John Williams when he provided the score for Bethesda's Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. During this time, Haab also composed for film projects including My Country, My Parents (2021) and Fengshen: Creation of the Gods: Kingdom of Storms (2023). ~ James Christopher Monger, Rovi
