Visaka

Born in London to Sri Lankan and Gambian parents, Visaka spent her early childhood in Gambia before returning to the UK - a journey that imprinted her music with a rich cross-continental identity. Her sound blends the percussive pulse of West Africa with influences from the East and everything in between. The result is a cultural cocktail of hip hop, soul, reggae, and worldly percussion, threaded together by her lyrical depth and spiritual vision. Visaka stands at the frontier of a new sonic era for young independent artists - reinventing the soundscape with raw expression, ancestral pride, and spiritual empowerment. Her catalogue reflects a fearless merging of political nuance, introspective storytelling, and diasporic memory.
