Contra

Contra is a DJ and producer drawing inspiration from a wide spectrum of electronic music, from classic 90s breakbeat to modern progressive house. Raised on a steady diet of Australian electronic music, he began experimenting with production at a young age, developing a sound shaped by hypnotic melodies, driving rhythms and unexpected influences. With a passion for blending genres and pushing creative boundaries, Contra’s music moves between nostalgic electronic sounds and contemporary club music, bringing something different to both his productions and DJ sets. His latest creative venture, Contra Motel, takes that vision beyond the music. Inspired by the sun-soaked nostalgia of 1980s Miami, it’s an immersive world of pastel sunsets, vintage cars, late-night radio and endless summer escapism. Built around music, visuals and interactive experiences, the motel is home to his forthcoming single Vacation!, alongside the fictional radio station Contra FM. Whether behind the decks or in the studio, Contra continues to explore new sounds while building a world of his own. Welcome to Paradise. www.contramotel.com
