Pelicano

From the 2020 generational wave of lo-fi artists, Pelicano has been making his musical experiments public and quickly gained recognition among labels and curators worldwide, reaching more than 40 million streams. Within his sound, the exploration of synth textures meets an obsession with stacking melodies, as if movie scenes could be built upon sound waves. The blend of genres like ambient, folk and downtempo forms a signature sound from which these stories can unravel — one that offers a more progressive approach and often steps beyond lo-fi’s typical boundaries. In 2021, the Brazilian stepped onto the stage as part of one of the first full live lo-fi bands in the world, and led by Linearwave, they performed at the iconic Vivo Rio. The project brought their studio world to life, highlighting the emotive, story-driven character that defines his music. Pelicano is the project of Erik Seifer, a Brazilian artist born in Ourinhos, São Paulo.
