Biography & Metadata

Bold, cinematic, and uncompromising, SKAGS are Athens' pioneers of alternative/progressive rock — weaving theatrical vocals, expansive guitars, and atmospheric synths into immersive concept albums and powerful live experiences. Their acclaimed debut Digital Cage of a Cursed Generation (2020) made an impact across Europe with multi-layered songwriting and sharp social commentary. The 2024 follow-up Year 2200 pushed further — a sci-fi concept album about environmental collapse and interplanetary migration, recorded with guest hip-hop artist Axer and expanding the band's palette into something grander. Now, SKAGS have entered the darkest and most ambitious chapter of their career with their newly released third full-length album, Inertia / Ad Nauseam (2026). A raw, dystopian reflection of modern paralysis, digital noise, and blind consumerism, the album delivers heavier guitars, raw energy, and the band's signature cinematic storytelling. The release has been met with massive critical acclaim, highlighted by a staggering 9/10 review from Metal Hammer Greece, which hailed the band as "the best-kept secret of the Greek scene." Praising their organic evolution and immersive soundscapes, the publication declared that "it is criminal, now, to ignore them" — cementing SKAGS as a dominant new force in the European alternative rock underground.
